For those who I'm not a familiar face my name is Mark Street, Consultant Manager for Liberator. I have been with Liberator for over 9 years now and learnt a lot about AAC over the years. I have a particular interest in linguistics which supports my passion for language and language development, I've been fortunate enough to work with the likes of Gail Van Tatenhove and Bruce Baker over the years who have taught me a lot. Hi,

My name is Verity and I have worked for Liberator since January 2008. My experience in AAC is working with children with ASD via the CAP project on implementing AAC in the classroom. I have also worked in a specialist school in the SLT department where I worked with a number of students using high-tech aids and had a total communication policy including signing, use of symbols and so on. Hi there,

Back in June 2008 I started working for Liberator. I had previously worked for the NHS in South Wales within the Speech and Language Therapy Team as a Communication Development Officer. I worked in the community with adults who had learning disabilities. This included working in day centres, continuing health settings, the individuals homes and their places of work. As a CDO I put in place many different AAC systems (no, low, mid and high-tech) and supported their development. I would be very happy to offer you support with Liberator's products and hope you could benefit from our many teaching and implementation resources for AAC systems. Hello,

I'm the new Regional AAC Consultant and just starting out with Liberator but I'm certainly not new to AAC or Liberators products. I previously worked in a communication team at a Special School for 7 years supporting and delivering a total communication approach and I have also supported students in mainstream schools with communication difficulties. I am sure my experience of working collaboratively alongside other professionals in order to provide the best option for each individual students communication and access needs will benefit me in my new role. I have experience in AAC from no-tech to high-tech and have hands on experience of incorporating all systems into the student’s everyday life from school to independent living. I will be offering support, consultations, free loans and training.

I look forward to meeting you in the near future and having the opportunity to share my personal experiences working in school and my skills gained through Liberator with you or your team.

As many of you may know, I previously worked for DynaVox Systems Ltd where I gained 18 years of AAC experience. As I have such a passion and desire to offer non-verbal people a voice, I was delighted to be able to stay in the AAC industry and join Liberator.
