This British symbol set comprises over 40,000 symbols covering all aspects of language use. Many of the symbols contain grammatical markers to help learners to develop language, syntax and literacy skills. Clarity Symbols are rule driven and logical. They are easy to understand and teach.
Clarity Symbols are:

- Sorted into more than 55 main categories, plus a further 250 sub-categories
- Grammatically tagged, there are separate but related symbols for go, goes, going, gone, went…
- Designed for teaching language and literacy development
- National Curriculum vocabulary is included and further developments will soon increase this aspect significantly.
- Religious and cultural symbols have been included and more will be included as the set expands
The Images
Clarity Symbols have transparent backgrounds. There are no white background squares to ‘spoil’ the image when placed on a coloured background. All symbols are drawn at the same size. Windows® Metafiles have the advantage of not pixelating when their size is increased and therefore maintain their quality over a large range of sizes. This is great for creating resources as the image can be changed to whatever size you need without detracting from its quality.
