Dream-Racer - switch-adapted cars

Dream-Racer

Dream-Racer is the name of the switch adapted technology developed to give individuals with limited upper body mobility the opportunity to play with radio controlled racing cars and trucks.

The switch adapted controls have been built into a baseball cap (could also be a glove or shoe) that replaces the hand-held joystick normally used. By tilting the head forward, back, left or right users are able to drive their car in the same way others would using a joystick.

A switch adapted car - a Subaru Impreza, a Venus monster truck and a Big Green Tractor are available.

Big Green Tractor

The Big Green Tractor is 15 inches (38cm) long

Simply tilting the head forward, backwards, left or right will drive the tractor around

Compared to the other Dream-Racer cars and truck, the tractor runs slower and may be beneficial for some users just developing their switch skills.

It is supplied as "ready to run" and comes complete with AA type batteries and PP3 battery.

This Dream-Racer set includes: tractor, trailer, Dream-Racer control cap and belt mounted radio transmitter and batteries.

Venus Monster Truck

Venus is a 1:18 scale model switch adapted radio controlled monster truck.

A Dream-Racer control cap is supplied with this scale model.

The Venus truck requires 1 x 4.8 volt rechargable Ni-Cd type battery and the Dream-Racer control cap uses 1 x 9 volt PP3 type battery.All batteries are included.

This Dream-Racer set includes: Venus racing truck, rechargable batteries, UK style mains charger, Dream-Racer control cap and belt mounted radio transmitter.

Note: the Venus truck is only available in UK and Ireland.

Subaru Impreza

Subaru Impreza is a 1:16 scale model switch adapted radio controlled car.

Triband transmitter allows up to three cars to be raced at the same time by three individual players making it an excellent team or group experience.

This Subaru Impreza is "ready to run" and comes supplied with 4 x 1.5 volt AA type batteries and 1 x 9 volt PP3 battery used in the Dream-Racer control cap.

This Dream-Racer set includes: Subaru Impreza racing car, Dream-Racer control cap and belt mounted radio transmitter.
