For those of us who use speech, our voice can be a strong part of our identity. Our accent provides glimpses into both our past and present - reflecting where we may have grown up and where we now live.

Whilst the range of voices available on AAC systems is vastly increasing, it can still be challenging to find a voice which you feel really reflects yourself. Voice donation can offer a solution to this, and is a process where a 'donor' records their voice, which can then be adapted to create a digitial voice for use in an AAC system.

The Voice Keeper is an online voice banking solution which is well suited to voice donation. Using either a PC with a USB headset, or simple app on iPhone, the donor can effortlessly record a series of short sentences. There are different levels of sentences based on the ages and abilities of the person donating, accommodating even very young children.

Voice Keeper voices are free to use across all of Liberator's High Tech AAC devices and apps.

Once completed the Voice Keeper creates a digital version of the donated voice based on the recordings taken. The digital voice can be used across a range of AAC systems.

There is no cost to record a voice and Voice Keeper voices are free of charge to use across all of Liberators High Tech AAC devices and AAC apps.
